North Pier Tap Feature and Megan Barsotti Pop-Up

Our newest friends out of Benton Harbor, MI, North Pier Brewing Company will be joining us on January 26 for a first time Tappin’ Happenin’ at 8 Degrees Plato. These guys and gals are all about high-quality, Belgian-inspired ales. We’ll have a collection of their beer on draft including:

White Walker – White IPA
Hopped with Mosaic, Cashmere, and Chinook bringing out aromas of pineapple, lemon peel and pine. A slight wheat backbone and a Belgian yeast make this fruity estered IPA go down smooth.
Gypsy Witch – Dark Witbier
Spiced with ginger, cloves, coriander, and fermented with a classic witbier yeast. Dark roast malts lend this beer to a winter feel.
Springtooth – Farmhouse DIPA
Juicy DIPA with a blend of Mosaic and Idaho 7 hops for a tropical aroma of pineapple and mango. Rye and Oats are included in the grist for a smooth mouthfeel. Co-fermanted with funky wild yeast and a classic farmhouse yeast.
Island Hopper – Tropical Stout
Island Hopper is a Tropical Stout with rich chocolate aromas, and berry like fruitness from the warm fermented yeast. Lots of raw cocoa flavors. Tastes like a dark chocolate bar, with hints of fruit and rum-like flavor. It’s the perfect thing to sip in the winter, with a touch of summer.
Megan Barsotti (of NoshPit Detroit) will also be in doing a CHEESE INSPIRED POP-UP. Oh dear lord, need we say more???
