Join us and Wayne State University Press invites you to chat with four authors with a passion for pop culture, local food, Detroit history, and environmental studies. Each of the participating authors will spend five minutes at a table over the course of 50 minutes. The topic of conversation is completely up to the attendees. They can ask the authors about their books, writing in general, their favorite Detroit-themed book, or simply anything that comes to mind. At the end, the author will give one complimentary copy of their book to their favorite table, and the table has to fight it out over who gets to take it home. But don’t worry, Pages Bookshop will be on-site selling copies of selected titles, too. Think of this as speed-dating, but at the end of the night, you go home with a fresh look at your city and a great new book! This event is free and open to the public.
